Emily Flynn

Grants Manager
"As I embark on my journey into parenthood, I am deeply inspired by the work of the Foundation in supporting Resilient Children and Families. The existing health disparities for birthing people, babies and older adults drives me to help create positive change and break down barriers for the communities we serve.”

Emily has worked for the Cambia family of companies for more than 13 years. She began her journey in the Customer Service Department and worked her way up through the Ethics and Integrated Strategy Management Departments before landing with Cambia Health Foundation. During this time, she was also fortunate enough to gain experience working directly with patients and providers in the School of Medicine at the University of Utah. The variety of work that she was responsible for throughout her previous tenures, including but not limited to event planning and logistics, large-scale organizational projects and direct customer experience have prepared her to manage the grant portfolio of the Foundation.

Emily completed her bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Utah in 2012. She also holds an associate degree in American Sign Language Interpreting. Since moving to Portland, she has completed an intensive Project Management Program at Portland State University as well as a Human Centered Design Course through the LUMA Institute. She has also become a certified Balanced Scorecard Professional. When Emily is not at work, she is adventuring in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her spouse and their dog, Archimedes. She also serves as president of the Ambassador board for the Oregon Historical Society, The Cabinet and works to help educate the public on Oregon’s rich history.
