Our Strategy

Looking ahead to 2027

We’re currently evaluating the progress, insights and impact achieved in collaboration with our partners throughout our 2022-2026 funding strategy. Building on those learnings and the perspectives shared by grant partners, community organizations and other stakeholders, we’re currently developing our next multi-year strategy which we expect to share in early 2027. That strategy will help inform future funding opportunities and how we invest in the communities we serve. We remain committed to listening, learning and meeting our partners where they are.

Our 2022 - 2026 strategy

Our 10-year vision is to advance whole-person health in underserved communities in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Utah. By whole-person health, we mean the integration of the physical, social and behavioral aspects of our health. We believe that health is personal, multidimensional and integrated, so healthcare should be, too.

We believe in a future where every person has an equal opportunity to live the healthiest life possible.

Our 2022-2026 strategic plan prioritizes behavioral health because it is a pressing community need and expanding access to integrated behavioral health services will create a more equitable system of whole person health for people living in our communities. Behavioral health includes mental health, substance use, and encompasses a continuum of prevention, intervention, recovery and support services. As a Foundation, our goal is to advance whole-person health by expanding access to behavioral health in underserved communities. Our efforts will focus on three areas:

  • Resilient Children and Families: Pregnancy, Infants and Children up to age 8
  • Healthy and Connected Aging: Adults age 55+
  • Health Care Workforce: Paid and Unpaid Caregivers
