Employee-led investments foster health and connection among older adults

The Cambia Community Resilience Fund invites Cambia employees into Cambia Health Foundation’s philanthropic giving

Employee-led investments foster health and connection among older adults
Inspired by the generosity of Cambia employees, the Cambia Community Resilience Fund (CCRF) was established in 2023 to engage employees in the philanthropic process. This innovative program invites employees to learn more about the Foundation’s investments in Healthy and Connected Aging and nominate organizations they’re passionate about.

This year a committee of 26 employee volunteers from across Cambia reviewed applications from 31 organizations whose missions reduce isolation and loneliness, increase access to behavioral health care and help older adults access care and resources through technology. The committee selected four finalists (one from Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Washington) to receive $30,000 each based on their alignment with investment goals and their desired impact.

Meet Our 2025 CCRF Finalists

We're proud to introduce the four organizations selected as our 2025 CCRF recipients, approved by the Cambia Health Foundation:

  • Alzheimer's Association of Greater Idaho (Statewide): A two-time CCRF recipient in 2024 and 2025, The Alzheimer’s Association works to spread awareness of Alzheimer’s and dementia, connect caregivers to resources and statewide support groups and prioritizes homebound individuals and rural communities.
  • One Community Health (Hood River, OR): Advances health and social justice for all community members, with a particular focus on serving vulnerable populations.
  • The Inn Between (Salt Lake City, UT): Offers critical medical respite and end-of-life care for individuals with acute medical conditions or terminal illnesses who are experiencing homelessness. In past years, Cambia is proud to have partnered with The Inn Between for employee volunteer days.
  • Sound Generations (Seattle, WA): Partners with older adults to provide accessible and inclusive services for personal and dignified aging by addressing food security, transportation, health and wellness and assistance services.

"We envision a responsive, multigenerational community that recognizes and fulfills the diverse and changing needs of everyone as we age."

We’re grateful to Cambia employees who offered their time and energy to learn more about these nonprofits. To celebrate the important work of these organizations, and in recognition of the employees who volunteered with the CCRF program this year, we’re matching employee donations to these organizations at 100%, an increase from the 50% match the Foundation offers year-round.
