Angelica Little Eagle's path to nursing began with a meaningful experience during her first pregnancy. "I was fortunate to have an incredibly positive experience with the health care team during my prenatal visits," she said. "Pregnancy is both a beautiful and overwhelming time, and the support I received made all the difference."
That experience 18 years ago inspired Angelica to explore opportunities to enter the health care field. "I’m passionate about being that source of comfort and support for my own patients," said Angelica. "It’s deeply rewarding to help them feel seen, cared for, and reassured during some of their most vulnerable moments."
We're happy to announce Angelica as the recipient of the Cambia Health Foundation / Paula A. Jones Endowed Scholarship for the 2025-2026 school year. This scholarship aims to increase representation of people from different backgrounds in the health care workforce, and Angelica exemplifies the dedication and passion we seek to support.
Currently in her senior year of the registered nurse program, Angelica is dual enrolled at Southern Oregon University through Oregon Health and Science University’s partnership program that brings nursing education to all regions in Oregon.

About Cambia Health Foundation / Paula A. Jones Endowed Scholarship
The Cambia Health Foundation / Paula A. Jones Endowed Scholarship was established in 2022 for students in Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Utah who are pursuing post-secondary education in health care.
