On the heels of its inaugural sold-out symposium in San Francisco in 2017, End Well 2018 will further engage participants in a meaningful exploration of the personal, cultural, and health systems-related issues and opportunities that occur near the end of life.

Cambia Health Foundation, the corporate foundation of Cambia Health Solutions, philanthropically invests in solutions to transform people’s health care journey from birth to graceful completion of life. Since 2007, Cambia Health Foundation has invested more than $58 million to advance person-focused and family-oriented care.

“We share End Well’s commitment to human-centered design,” said Cambia’s President and CEO Mark Ganz, who was a keynote speaker at the inaugural conference. “No matter how much technology you have, it’s always human interaction that will matter most.”

“Cambia Health Foundation is excited to partner with End Well 2018 to bring together diverse innovators who are placing the person at the center of care,” said Peggy Maguire, President of Cambia Health Foundation. “This conference will promote solutions that transform care and culture.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Cambia Health Foundation as our first-ever presenting partner of End Well” said Shoshana Ungerleider, MD, Founder of the End Well.  “Cambia Health Foundation and their parent, Cambia Health Solutions, are leaders in a growing movement to improve people’s health care experiences using innovative human-centered design. The Foundation’s ground-breaking work in palliative care philanthropy brings a dynamic perspective to the End Well conversation.”

The End Well Symposium will bring together a larger audience, representing the design, technology, policy, health care and activist communities, to focus on human-centered innovation around the end of life experience. Featuring internationally prominent speakers, empathic participant stories and an activated community, End Well will deliver an immersive experience designed to change our relationship to living and dying.

About End Well
The End Well Symposium is supported by the End Well Foundation, a nonprofit organization.
Too often, people aren’t dying in ways that match the goals and values of how they live their lives.
When inevitably faced with issues of mortality, many of us – whether patient, family or clinician – will suffer needlessly for a variety of reasons, some cultural, some clinical, some a matter of access.

End Well’s objective is to address these issues as a multidisciplinary community, bringing together design, technology, health, policy and activist imagination and expertise. We seek to create a platform that will transform thought into human-centered action as we reimagine the end of life experience in ways that are universally available and serve the needs of the individual.
